A missing acorn turns storytime into a playful woodland search!
The Have You Seen My Acorn? Story Buddy Collection pairs D.K. Ryland’s charming picture book with a handmade crocheted squirrel and an exclusive Handspun Whimsy activity card. Children can bring Squirrel along as they revisit the story, search for clues and create new adventures of their own.
The coordinating activity card extends the story through playful early-learning experiences. Children will practice making predictions, recalling characters and events, telling the search in order, asking questions like a detective and using positional words such as under, beside, behind, between, above and inside.
This Story Buddy Collection includes:
• Have You Seen My Acorn? picture book by D.K. Ryland • Handmade crocheted squirrel Story Buddy • Double-sided coordinating activity card • Literacy, memory, spatial-language and imaginative-play activities
Created especially for preschoolers and early learners, this collection encourages children to move, talk, investigate and keep the story going long after the book is closed.
Each Story Buddy is handmade, so small variations make every squirrel uniquely its own.
